MAUREEN O'GUIN

Born and raised in Tokyo, Japan, Maureen has lived in Kailua since 1966 and considers Hawaii her "home." She has two children – her son Daniel is entering his Senior at Cogswell Polytechnical College in Sunnyvale, California, a college which specializes in Digital Art and Animation. Daniel has recently composed a number of songs and also plays the ukulele. Her daughter Chelsea graduated from Le Jardin Academy in 2007, the school she attended since Pre-Kindergarten. She is an accomplished tap, ballet, hula and jazz dancer having taken dance lessons since she was 4 years old. Chelsea will be attending the University of Hawaii before (hopefully) venturing to the mainland or abroad.

In her spare time, Maureen loves to cook, enjoys photography, jewelry making, and gardening. Her latest passion includes attending classes at Aloha Yoga Kula, Jazzercise, and volunteering with the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Maureen's latest accomplishment was skiing down the slopes in Steamboat Springs, Colorado and has tried her hand at pastel painting. She often comes up with wonderful ideas and solutions to real estate situations while doing yoga, strolling on the beach or walking with her black Labrador Retriever, Kaimana.
